How Yurware Became the Right Fit for Practical Technology Help
Yurware’s story starts with Kevin Heil, Information Architect and Technical Consultant, and a simple observation: technology should make work easier, not add confusion to the day. In 2000, dbapp.com LLC was created as a custom web-based information management software company focused on environmental information management. Over time, that work expanded into database hosting, technical consulting, corporate networking, business systems support, and practical technology help for small organizations.
As client needs changed, the company changed with them. In 2014, dbapp.com LLC became Yurware to better represent the wider range of software, hardware, network, and consulting work we were already doing. The name changed, but the working style stayed personal: listen carefully, explain clearly, and build the right solution for the business instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all answer.
Many clients come to us after dealing with technology that does not match how their company actually operates. They may have aging systems that still matter, databases that hold critical information, networks that need attention, or production equipment tied to legacy software that cannot simply be replaced. Kevin’s nearly 30 years of IT experience helps Yurware understand both where technology is going and why older systems sometimes still need to be kept stable, secure, and useful.
That perspective is especially valuable for small to medium-sized manufacturing facilities and other West Michigan businesses that depend on dependable systems to keep work moving. Some clients need a full on-site server-based environment. Others only need a NAS, cloud-based solution, remote access, database support, or help connecting systems that were never designed to work together. Yurware’s role is to make those decisions understandable and to support them with responsive, accurate service.
Clients often describe Kevin as adaptable, technically knowledgeable, easygoing, and able to solve complex problems without making the process feel overwhelming. That is the kind of relationship we want to build: practical, transparent, and steady enough that clients know who to call when technology gets in the way of their work.

What Shapes Every Yurware Relationship
Plain-English Communication
Tailored Solutions Over Templates
Every client environment is different, especially when custom databases, older systems, manufacturing equipment, or mixed hardware are involved. Yurware looks for the right-sized answer, whether that means an on-site server, a cloud-based approach, a NAS, or a more focused support solution.
Practical Experience Across Software and Hardware
Kevin Heil works across information management, databases, networks, servers, desktops, and business systems. That broad experience helps Yurware see how one technical decision can affect the rest of the environment.
A Relationship Built for the Long Term
Yurware works best with clients who value proactive management, process standardization, clear expectations, and a steady technology relationship. The goal is not to make technology feel impressive. It is to make it useful, understandable, and dependable for the people who rely on it.
